JTM Revue 001 Launch

Pavilion de l’Arsenal
Paris, 2024

Pli office launched first issue of JTM Revue with an exhibition titled “So That You Love Me Again”

JTM is an annual publication that promotes and makes understandable approaches and know-how in art, design, architecture and scenography. Each issue is devoted to a particular thematic sentence (quotation, references, words) which guides the selection of subjects, spaces, pieces or invited people. JTM presents an annual vision of architecture and design, paying great attention to those who create with their greatest emotions and who shape the creation of tomorrow.

“So that you love me again, accept love, hope and loss. The theme of first rejections, first heartbreaks, this song is an all-time classic. A woman ready for anything cries out to bring her love back. Her song reveals an almost Faustian, Orphic, obsessional thinking. And she touches upon a greater set of ideas, about attachment, power, enduring love, the opinion of others. She questions our ability to reveal our vulnerability, to attach ourselves to new beliefs, to travel in our memories.

The first issue brought together designers who are rooted in their feelings and emotions. This more applied and subjective view provides an unexpected insight into our contemporary concerns. Emotions design our environment, the objects we wear and exhibit, the spaces that we grow up in and the tools that we construct with. Through sensitivity and open-mindedness, it is possible to permanently change our relationship with the world and with what we produce. It is urgent to think differently, less selfishly.” - Christopher Dessus, architect and founder of Pli office

Featuring contributions from 28 architects and designers the exhibition offered a glimpse into the contemporary creation of objects and installations. By addressing issues of sustainability, care, and craftsmanship, creators engaged their sensibilities to address current challenges, placing emotion and accessibility at the heart of their work.

The exhibition included works by Anais Borie, Atelier Baptiste & Jaïna, Atelier Jonathan Cohen, Baptiste Meyniel, CLUZEL PLUCHON,  dach&zephir, Edgar Jayet, Georgiev Zabeta, Gobezzia & Spassky Fischer, Inga Sempé, Ionna Vautrin, Jean Simon Roch, Leclercq Viallet, Lucien Icard, Maria Jeglinska-Adamczewska, Paul Gauthier, Pinaffo & Pluvinage, SABOURIN COSTES, Samuel Tomatis, Samy Rio, Sara de Campos, Sophia Taillet, Studio GGSV, Studio Poirier Bailay, Théo Charasse, Verre d'Onge, Waiting For Ideas and Wendy Andreu.
