Curated by Aleksandra Zawistowska, Studio Szkło was awarded with the best table prize in COLLECTIBLE Brussels 2026.
During COLLECTIBLE Brussels Studio Szkło presented a “Femmes Surrealistes” installation at Tablescapes section, conceived as a collective environment where glass, objects and scenography met to create a shared narrative space.
Curated by Aleksandra Zawistowska, the project brought together artists and designers from Poland and the Netherlands: Lindsey Fontijn, Karla Studio (Karolina Pawłowska), Basia Pruszyńska, Rest Studio (Dominika Gacka and Julia Piekarska), Marlou Rutten, and Marieke van de Ven.
The scenography was created in collaboration with food designer Jagoda Porębska (Zastyga).
The conceptual starting point was Surrealism — not as a historical reference, but as an attitude. Early surrealists rejected rigid intellectual frameworks in favor of instinct, intuition, collective action, and new forms of communication. They wandered through cities, staged spontaneous encounters, and built shared experiences as a way of breaking established structures. This spirit inspired the approach to Tablescapes.
The installation reflected on the idea of curating common moments — a space where multiple individual practices coexist, overlap, and converse — while allowing each participant to retain their own voice. The table becomes both a stage and a meeting point: a place for encounter, imagination, and unexpected relationships between objects, materials, and gestures.

The exhibition was part of the COLLECTIBLE fair, TABLESCAPES section.
The jury, which consisted of Ann Chan, Founder & CEO of Hero Design Group; Paul-Antoine Bertin, Founder of Studio 27; Zélikha Dinga, Founder of Caro Diario; Natalie Helsen, Journalist & Fashion Director at Sabato; and Laurine Abrieu, Editor-in-Chief of MilK Decoration awarded the installation with the best table prize bringing out the vision, creativity, and immersive quality of the presentation.
