Liquid Feelings
Mushy Things x Szkło Studio
Dubai Design Week 2025
Downtown Design & Editions
Dubai, 2025
The exhibition ‘Liquid Feelings’ explores the intersection of emotion and material through sculptural glass pieces that blur the boundaries between softness and structure. Each piece captures the tension between fragility and form, translating human sentiment into physical expression. The result is an immersive environment that celebrates imperfection, tenderness, and the quiet power of feeling.
Together, the works invite reflection on the delicate balance between control and chance. For this year’s Downtown Design & Editions, Mushy spotlighted Szkło Studio, founded by artist and designer Aleksandra Zawistowska.
Liquid Feelings featured a series of hand-blown glass vessels and lighting objects shaped through the unpredictable dance of heat, breath, and gravity. Each piece embraces irregularity as a mark of authenticity, its translucent surfaces shifting with light and perspective.
“We’re excited to continue bringing distinctive, beautifully crafted pieces to the Middle East,” say founders Dina Adlouni and Tarlan Vaziri Farahani. “Szkło’s creations embody everything we love about design, each object tells a story, evokes emotion, and brings a sense of warmth and individuality into a space.”
Founded in Dubai by Adlouni and Farahani, Mushy is a design platform built on sentiment, craftsmanship, and the joy of individuality. Known for its playful yet soulful aesthetic, Mushy bridges art, storytelling, and design through a curated selection of décor and furniture pieces that connect emotionally with their audience. Both an e-commerce destination and a creative community, the platform spotlights emerging and established designers who redefine how we experience objects in our homes.
Through collaborations like Liquid Feelings, Mushy continues to reinforce its mission to celebrate craftsmanship, creativity, and the emotional power of design. Each piece curated by Mushy reflects a belief that design is not only visual, it is a feeling, a connection, and a joyful expression of individuality.
